EXAM

EXAM

Exam will cover the Native American/Early Americans. Exam is on Oct. 30/31.

Review Sheet:

Read over Ch. 3 in the text book. Review the glued in pages in your spiral for the different Native Texans.
Early Americans

When did they arrive?
How did they arrive?
Where did they cross into North America?
What type of tools did they use?

Define archaeologist. & anthropologist. Know what they study.


Know the basics about the major Indian tribes discussed in class. (Remember, Environment affects culture)

Where they lived? Tools they used?
Types of houses they lived in? Food they ate?

Create on poster board an issues based decision on who should be the next president and why.

*Issues to consider: Iraq going forward
Healthcare
Immigration reform
How to improve the economy

*Pick 2 issues from this list or find your own.

*Write a 4-6 sentence paragraph telling your audience how McCain and Obama stand on the 2 issues you picked.


*Conclude with a paragraph explaining who you support for President and why.

Be sure to include images, pictures, charts, or graphs to support your arguments.

*Due Friday Oct. 24/27

EXAM

On Oct. 14/15 students will take the Geography Exam. While students are taking the exam I will be checking their spirals to see if all work in completed, glued in, and well organized. The exam and the notebook are major grades. Below is the review sheet I gave the students.

Geography Exam Review
Read P. 24-37 & 48-69 in your text


Know facts about the 4 regions of Texas
ie. what is the land like? ….flat? desert? farms? Mountains? Coast? climate? population? types of economic activity?


Relative and Absolute location

map reading and chart reading

Review the geography terms from your spiral, they will be used on the exam
